Actinidia deliciosa ‘Jenny’ is a strong and energetic climber that produces the familiar oval kiwifruits with green flesh and a sweet, refreshing flavour. Unlike many traditional kiwi plants, ‘Jenny’ is self-fertile, meaning we can enjoy fruit production from a single plant without needing a separate male pollinator. This is not a small patio plant. Kiwi grows with real strength and requires a solid support from the beginning, such as a pergola, trellis, or fence.

In the right conditions, it develops into a beautiful, productive vine that can remain with us for many years.

For best results, plant in a warm, sunny, and sheltered location. Good soil preparation and consistent moisture are especially important while the plant is young and establishing.

Because ‘Jenny’ is self-fertile, fruiting does not depend on having both male and female plants nearby. However, as with many fruit crops, yields can still improve when other kiwi plants are present in the area to assist natural pollination.
