Its large, double blooms open slowly into delicate old-rose shaped cups, with tightly layered petals that are gently waved at the edges. The colour is a soft pastel pink, often enhanced with subtle mauve or lilac tones depending on the light and stage of flowering. Dark green deciduous foliage beautifully highlights the gentle sophistication of its flowers.

The perfume is truly remarkable and highly original. Bright lemon notes appear first, followed by aromatic accents of basil, verbena, anise, and lemongrass, before settling into the rich depth of rose. This complex and elegant fragrance is the signature feature that made this variety internationally celebrated.
